Poseidon’s Pleats

This collection was inspired by my Study Abroad: Cultural Anthropology trip to Greece in January, 2017. I was inspired by the nature and history for this collection especially from my experience of Cape Sounion. Being on top of Cape Sounion at the Temple of Poseidon feeling those strong fresh winds whilst overlooking the Aegean Sea and listening to the Greek mythological stories of King Aegeus. It inspired me to create this mini collection with rich, royal looking fabrics like velvet and silks, as well as keep it light and flowy like the wind at the end of that Cape. I designed based off of the Greek draping techniques with an Indian twist.
